"The technology industry likes to talk about innovation and disruption. But the most important disruption might be the simplest: building companies that listen to the people most likely to understand the problems they're trying to solve. Creating safer products requires creating safer internal cultures—environments where people feel safe to raise concerns, where unique perspectives are actively sought rather than reluctantly tolerated, where disagreement isn't treated like disloyalty."❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Such an important piece, thank you for sharing your direct experience. I, too, have left tech after a long career of fighting the good fight and trying to stand up and speak out for my people. I don’t regret doing what I did (even though it got me pushed out), but I do find it so incredibly frustrating that 30 years later I see that industry regressing and also finding new ways to cause irreparable harm. There has to be a better way.

I am so sorry you went through any of this. Thank you for speaking out.
Thank you for your support. Telling the truth is a privilege I don’t take lightly.
